This Sterling Silver crown-sized dollar coin commemorates the Black Stilt or Kakī bird, a wading bird found in New Zealand. It is one of the world's rarest birds, with 169 adults surviving in the wild as of May 2020.

The coin was issued in a capsule in a plush case. (13,500 Copies)
 
It was also included in the annual 7 coin Proof Set. (11,500 Copies)
