Interesting fact

One interesting fact about the 1792 Silver Center and Copper Pattern 1 Cent is that it was designed by John Reich, a German-born engraver and designer who worked for the United States Mint. Reich's design features a portrait of Liberty on the obverse (front) side of the coin, surrounded by a wreath of laurel leaves and a ring of stars. The reverse (back) side of the coin features a bald eagle surrounded by a wreath of olive branches and a banner with the motto "E Pluribus Unum" (Latin for "Out of many, one"). The coin's unique bimetallic composition, with a silver center surrounded by a copper ring, was an innovative feature for its time and adds to its historical significance and collectibility.
