The image of this coin comes from a Dutch coin donated from 1612 by King Albert and Isabella of Netherlands.
The Albertsdaler was a trade currency and was quickly imitated by other nearby states. The Danish albertsdaler was to be used for trade in the Baltics.
Minted in Altona except for 1786 that was struck in Poppenbüttel

Interesting fact

The 1 Albertsdaler coin from Denmark, minted between 1781 and 1796, has an interesting feature. It was made with a unique silver alloy, consisting of 86.8% silver and 13.2% other metals. This composition was used to increase the coin's durability and resistance to wear and tear, as silver coins tend to be softer and more prone to scratches and damage. The use of this special alloy made the Albertsdaler coin stand out from other silver coins of its time and added to its unique character.
