Since 2009 the full sovereign has omitted the streamer from the helmet of St George however the other sovereign denominations continue to have the streamer.

During 2015 there were two portraits issued, although 2015 dated coins issued after 2nd March feature this Jody Clark fifth portrait. The 2015 strike was issued in a 5-coin sovereign set (598 sales, issue limit 600) and as individual pieces (550 sales).

The 2018 issue was to commemorate HM The Queens's sapphire coronation anniversary with a special mint mark, the first to feature on an official UK coin.


This quarter sovereign was issued in a 5-coin set (849 sales, issue limit 850), in a 4-coin set (299 sales, issue limit 300), in a 3-coin set (986 sales, issue limit 1,000) and as individual pieces (1,321 sales, issue limit 2,500).
