The 2016 strike was only issued in Brilliant Uncirculated and Bullion as the proof issue featured the Butler portrait. There was no 2017 standard strike due to the Garter design being used. The 2018 strike was only issued in Bullion, due to the proof strike featuring a '65' privy mark to commemorate the Queen's Sapphire Jubilee.
The St. George and the Dragon design on the Sovereign has been used for 200 years - the 2017 Bullion Sovereign celebrates this with the addition of a '200' mark on the bottom left-hand side of the reverse. A garter design was issued for the proof sovereign for 2017.
