Interesting fact

One interesting fact about this coin is that it was minted during a time of great turmoil in the Spanish Netherlands. The Dutch Revolt, which began in 1566, led to the establishment of the Dutch Republic and the eventual separation of the Netherlands from Spain. This coin, minted during the reign of Philip II, represents a time of transition and upheaval in the region.
