Interesting fact

The Seated Liberty Half Dollar was designed by Mint Engraver Christian Gobrecht and was minted from 1839 to 1891. It was the first coin to feature Lady Liberty in a seated position, and it was also the first coin to show the value of the coin on the reverse side. Additionally, the 1854-1855 version of the coin has a unique feature - the date arrows, which were added to the design to indicate the coin's date more clearly. This feature was only used for these two years, making it a distinctive characteristic of this particular coin.
