The Convent of San Jose that was founded by the Augustinian Order in 1612, being one of the last buildings established in Panama la Vieja. The area of the ruins of Panamá Viejo, first city of Panamá destroyed by the pirate Henri Morgan in 1671, is now restored and is an important touristic site.
