Comment
The "Church and Convent of the Company of Jesus" to which the coin is dedicated was founded between 1578 and 1582 by the Jesuit father Miguel de Fuentes. For a long time of wood, it was not until the early seventeenth century that the convent slowly began to be rebuilt with stone and brick structures.Since its separation from Colombia in 1903, Panama has used the United States Dollar. These coins have the same specifications as the and circulate alongside it.
