There are conflicting opinions on the authenticity of the coins from Libiakos:
• L. Amela; 2014. El “enigma” de Libiakos. Published in Varia nummorum III, ANE, pages 85-89.
• M. Ibañez; September 2011. El enigma de una ceca ibérica inexistente. Published in Eco Filatélico y Numismático, number 67, issue 1199, pages 46-47.
• M. Ibáñez; 1991. La falsa ceca de Libiacos. Published in VVAA, Historia de Navarra, Volume VI, Harper, Pamplona, Spain, number 287, pages 76-77.

Interesting fact

The Bronze coin from Libiakos (Berones people) has a unique design feature that sets it apart from other coins of its time. The obverse side of the coin features a stylized image of a horse, while the reverse side features a depiction of a warrior wearing a helmet and carrying a shield. This design combination was a departure from the more traditional designs found on coins of the time, which often featured gods, goddesses, or other mythological figures. The use of a horse and warrior on the Libiakos coin may have been intended to symbolize the importance of military strength and mobility in the Berones culture.
