Interesting fact
The Tymf - August III (Lipsk) 1755 coin from the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth was made of silver, but it was also one of the first coins to feature a portrait of a king on both sides. The obverse side features a portrait of King August III, while the reverse side features a portrait of the king's father, King August II. This unique design was a departure from the traditional practice of featuring a coat of arms or other symbol on the reverse side, and it was a sign of the growing influence of Enlightenment values on coinage design.
