Interesting fact
One interesting fact about the Trzeciak poznański / Ternar coin is that it was used as a form of payment for soldiers during the reign of Sigismund III Vasa, who was the King of Poland and Grand Duke of Lithuania from 1587 to 1632. The coin was minted in the city of Poznań and was made of silver, which gave it a high value and made it a reliable form of currency. Despite its small weight of 0.34 grams, the coin played an important role in the economy of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth during that time.
