Interesting fact
The Trojak gdański was a silver coin minted in the city of Gdańsk during the reign of Sigismund I the Old, who was the King of Poland from 1506 to 1548. The coin was introduced in 1535 and was used until 1546. It weighed 2.7 grams and had a diameter of approximately 19 millimeters. The obverse side of the coin featured an image of the king, while the reverse side had an image of the Polish eagle. The Trojak gdański was an important coin during its time, as it was used for everyday transactions and was also used as a form of payment for merchants and traders. Today, the coin is a rare and valuable collector's item, with some examples selling for thousands of dollars at auction.
