Interesting fact
The Trojak gdański coin was used as a means of payment in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth during the reign of August III Sas in the 18th century. Despite being made of billon, a silver-copper alloy with only 28.1% silver content, the coin was still considered valuable and widely used in trade and commerce. Its small weight of 1.52 grams made it a convenient and practical coin for everyday transactions.
