Interesting fact
The Trojak gdański coin was used as a means of payment in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth during the reign of August III Sas (1760-1763). Despite being made of Billon, a silver-copper alloy with only 28.1% silver content, the coin was still considered valuable and widely used in trade and commerce. Its relatively low silver content made it more accessible to the general population, and it played an important role in the economy of the time.
