Interesting fact
The Sigismund III Vasa coin, minted in Wilno (now Vilnius, Lithuania) between 1590 and 1608, was the first silver coin to feature the image of a Polish king. It was also the first coin to bear the name "Trojak," which means "three" in Polish, indicating its value of three grosze. This coin was a significant innovation in the currency system of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, and it paved the way for the use of silver coins in the region.
