Interesting fact
The Sigismund III Vasa coin is a rare example of a coin that was issued with a unique shield design. The Lewart shield, which features a crowned eagle with a crescent moon and stars, was only used on coins issued during Sigismund III's reign (1587-1632) and is not found on any other coins from the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. This makes it a highly sought-after collector's item among numismatists and historians interested in the region's currency.
