Interesting fact

One interesting fact about the Trojak / 3 Grosze coin is that it was minted during the reign of Sigismund III Vasa, who was the King of Poland and Grand Duke of Lithuania from 1587 to 1632. The coin features an image of the king on one side and the Polish coat of arms on the other. The use of silver in the coin's minting was a significant departure from the previous coins of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, which were made of copper or billon (a copper and silver alloy). This change in material was likely due to the increased availability of silver in the region at the time.
