Interesting fact
The Trihemidrachm - Ariston (Hypata) coin was used in ancient Thessaly, a region in central Greece, and features an image of a mythical creature called the "Chimera" on one side, and a portrait of King Ariston on the other. The Chimera was a creature with the body of a lion, the head of a goat, and the tail of a serpent, and was believed to have the power to protect the coin's owner from harm.
