Interesting fact
One interesting fact about this coin is that it features an image of the Roman emperor Nerva, who ruled from 96 to 98 AD, on one side, and a depiction of the goddess Artemis on the other. This coin was part of a series of coins issued during Nerva's reign to promote the cult of the Roman emperor and to reinforce the idea of the emperor as a divine ruler. The image of Artemis on the coin may have been chosen because she was an important deity in the ancient city of Sardes, where the coin was minted.
