Interesting fact
The Tetras coin features a unique blend of Greek and Carthaginian influences in its design. The obverse (front) side of the coin depicts a stylized head of the Greek goddess Athena, while the reverse (back) side features a Phoenician inscription and a representation of the Carthaginian goddess Tanit. This blending of cultural influences reflects the complex history of Kefra, which was a Phoenician colony in Sicily that was later absorbed into the Greek city-state of Leontini.
