Interesting fact
The obverse (front) side of the coin features a portrait of the Greek goddess Athena, while the reverse (back) side features a depiction of a griffin, which was a mythical creature with the body of a lion and the head and wings of an eagle. This coin was used as a form of currency in the ancient Greek city of Abdera, located in Thrace (modern-day Bulgaria), during the 5th century BC.
