Interesting fact

The obverse of the coin features a portrait of Lysimachos, the king of Thrace, wearing a lion's skin headdress, which was a symbol of his power and bravery. The reverse of the coin depicts a standing Apollo, the god of the sun, music, poetry, and prophecy, holding a lyre and a bow, surrounded by a wreath of olive leaves. This design was meant to signify the kingdom's connection to Greek culture and the importance of Apollo as a patron deity.
