Interesting fact

The Tetradrachm - Kleinos (285 BC - 260 BC) from Kos (Carian Islands) features a unique design on its reverse side. Instead of the usual depiction of a deity or a mythological creature, it shows a portrait of a bearded man wearing a flat hat, who is believed to be Kleinos, the ruler of Kos during that time. This design choice was a departure from the standard coin designs of the ancient Greek world and reflects the independent spirit and cultural identity of the people of Kos.
