Comment
Struck in the name of Alexander III by Nikokles of Paphos, on the island of Cyprus. The name of Nikokles is engraved in tiny letters along the border of the lion´s skin on the obverse in an attempt to establish his overlordship over the island.Interesting fact
The Tetradrachm - Alexander III (Paphos) coin features an image of Alexander the Great's father, King Philip II, on the obverse (front side), which is a unique feature among coins of that time period.
