Comment

Struck in the name of Alexander III by Nikokles of Paphos, on the island of Cyprus.

Interesting fact

The obverse side of the coin features a portrait of Alexander the Great, while the reverse side depicts a seated Zeus holding a scepter and an eagle. This design was a common motif in ancient Greek coinage and symbolized the power and authority of the ruler.
