Interesting fact
The obverse side of the coin features the image of the goddess Athena, the patron deity of the city of Athens, wearing a crested helmet and a cloak. The reverse side features a four-horse chariot, known as a quadriga, driven by a charioteer. This design was a common motif on ancient Greek coins and symbolized the power and prestige of the city-state.
