Interesting fact
The obverse side of the coin features a portrait of the Greek goddess Hera, wife of Zeus and queen of the gods, which was a common design element on many ancient Greek coins. However, what makes this coin stand out is that Hera is depicted wearing a distinctive cylindrical hat called a "polos," which was a symbol of her dignity and authority. This feature is unique to the Tetradrachm coins of Rhegion and sets them apart from other ancient Greek coins.
