Interesting fact
The Tetradrachm coin from Ainos (Thrace) was used as a form of currency in ancient Greece and its design was inspired by the goddess Athena. The obverse side of the coin features the image of Athena wearing a helmet and carrying a shield, while the reverse side depicts the winged horse Pegasus. This coin was minted during the reign of the Athenian statesman and military leader, Pericles, who is credited with the development of democracy in Athens.
