Interesting fact
The Tetradrachm coin from Kamarina (Sicily) features a unique design on its obverse side, which includes a portrait of the Greek goddess Athena wearing a crested helmet and a necklace. The reverse side of the coin depicts a four-horse chariot (quadriga) driven by a charioteer, with the goddess Nike (Victory) standing on the chariot's prow. This design was a common motif in ancient Greek coinage and symbolized the power and prestige of the city-state of Kamarina.
