Interesting fact
The obverse (front) side of the coin features the image of a horned god, possibly Ammon, who was worshipped in the region. The reverse (back) side features a quadripartite scroll, which is a symbol of the four directions, and in the center, there's a small crescent moon and an eight-rayed star. This design represents the city's connection to the wider Macedonian kingdom and its cultural influences.
