Interesting fact
The Tetradrachm coin from Kyzikos (Mysia) features a unique combination of Greek and Persian influences in its design. The obverse side of the coin depicts the head of the Persian king, Artaxerxes III, while the reverse side features the Greek goddess Athena and an inscription in Greek. This blending of cultural influences reflects the complex history of the region, which was part of the Persian Empire at the time but had also been influenced by Greek culture.
