Interesting fact
The obverse (front) side of the coin features a portrait of the Greek goddess Athena, while the reverse (back) side features a depiction of a mythical creature called the "triton," which is a half-human, half-fish creature that was believed to be a symbol of the sea. This coin was used as a form of currency in the ancient Greek city of Maroneia, which was located in the region of Thrace (now modern-day Bulgaria).
