Interesting fact

The obverse (front) side of the coin features a portrait of the Greek goddess Athena, while the reverse (back) side depicts a four-horse chariot (quadriga) driven by the god Apollo. This iconography was commonly used on coins of the time to symbolize the power and prosperity of the city-state that issued them.
