Interesting fact
The Tetradrachm coin from Tenedos (Troad) features a unique design on its reverse side, depicting a mythological scene of a nereid (sea nymph) riding a sea monster, known as a hippocamp. This design was a distinctive feature of coins from Tenedos and was used to represent the island's maritime culture and connection to the sea.
