Isaac Comnenus facing, standing on the right, wearing stemma, clothed with divitision and loros, holding cruciger sceptre with left hand and akakia with right hand; being crowned by left hand of Virgin, standing on left, looking to right, wearing pallium and maphorium.
Inscription at top between their heads, and vertical retrograde inscriptions in left and right fields.

Evidence seem to support the attribution of this coin to the secondary mint; but precise attribution remains uncertain, some suspecting it could be attributed to Isaac II Angelus (legitimate ruler).Despite being not exactly the same, BCV and DOC references help categorize this coin through similar types with minor lettering variations.
Difference between DOC IV.1#10a and DOC IV.1#10b comes from the inverted positions of Isaac and Virgin on reverse.
