There are two varieties to the obverse legend according to the date. Most coins bearing the dates 1626 - 1628 and 1631 have FRANC II D G DVX LOTH MARC D C B G (de Saulcy Plate XXVI, 2).
In 1629 and 1630 the legend usually reads FRANC D G DVX LOTH MARCH D C B G (de Saulcy Plate XXVI, 3. Shown).
