"2471.1 AR tanka (5.1g), first standard, used circa 869-877
S [Scarce]
Type #2471.1 is always anonymous, assigned to Farrukhsiyar by date & style. All later issues cite his name. The only reasonably common year is 877, with the date in the center of type K5 reverse. If held upside down, coins dated 877 are incorrectly read as 887!"
Interesting fact
One interesting fact about this coin is that it was issued during the reign of Farrukhsiyar b. Khalil Allah, who was the first ruler of the Shirvanshah dynasty, which was a Muslim dynasty that ruled over the Caucasus region in the 15th century. The coin features an inscription in Arabic that reads "al-sultanu al-azam" (the great king) and "al-mu'ayyad bi-llah" (the one aided by God), reflecting the Islamic influence on the ruling dynasty.
