Interesting fact

The Talar koronny / 6 Zlotych coin featuring Stanisław August Poniatowski (Warszawa) 1794-1795 from the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth was made of silver, weighing 24g, and had a unique feature - it was one of the first coins in Europe to feature a portrait of a monarch on both sides. This was a departure from the traditional practice of featuring an image of a saint or a coat of arms on one side and the monarch on the other. This design choice was seen as a symbol of the growing power and influence of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth at the time.
