Interesting fact

The Sigismund III Vasa Szeląg koronny coin was minted during a time of great change in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. It was issued during the reign of Sigismund III Vasa, who was the King of Poland and Grand Duke of Lithuania from 1587 until his death in 1632. During his reign, Sigismund III implemented several reforms aimed at strengthening the Commonwealth's economy and military, including the creation of a new currency system. The Szeląg koronny coin was part of this new system and was used throughout the Commonwealth until its dissolution in 1795. Despite its small size and relatively low value, the coin is now a highly sought-after collector's item due to its historical significance and rarity.
