Interesting fact
The coin is quite rare and valuable, with only a few known examples surviving to this day. One interesting fact about this coin is that it was minted during a time of great turmoil in Europe, with the Hundred Years' War between England and France taking place during Louis IV's reign. Despite the conflict, the County of Loon was able to maintain its independence and issue its own coins, such as this silver Sterling.
