Interesting fact
The Lampines Stater from Abydos (Troad) is a rare and valuable coin, with only a few examples known to exist. It is believed to have been minted during the reign of King Lysimachus, who ruled the kingdom of Thrace from 320 BC to 280 BC. The coin features an image of the king's head on one side and a depiction of the goddess Athena on the other. The fact that it was made of silver and weighs 9.57 grams suggests that it was a high-denomination coin with a significant value in ancient times.
