Interesting fact

The obverse (front) side of the coin features a portrait of the Greek goddess Athena, while the reverse (back) side features a depiction of a griffin, which was a mythical creature with the body of a lion and the head and wings of an eagle. This combination of symbols represents the fusion of two different cultures, with Athena being a prominent deity in Greek mythology and the griffin being a symbol of the ancient Thracian culture. This blending of cultural influences is a fascinating aspect of the coin's design and speaks to the rich cultural heritage of the region in which it was minted.
