Interesting fact

The Daim Stater was used as a form of currency in ancient Greece, specifically in the city-state of Thebes, and it's interesting to note that the coin's design features the image of a mythical creature called the "Chimera" on one side, and the profile of a helmeted warrior on the other. The Chimera was a creature from Greek mythology that had the body of a lion, the head of a goat, and the tail of a serpent, and it was said to be a powerful and fearsome creature. The inclusion of this image on the coin may have been meant to symbolize the strength and power of the city-state of Thebes.
