Interesting fact
The obverse of the coin features the image of a youthful Alexander the Great, wearing a lion's skin headdress and carrying a spear, while the reverse depicts a seated Zeus holding a scepter and a small statue of Victory. This coin was minted during Alexander's lifetime, and it is believed that the image of Alexander on the coin was based on a statue of him created by the famous Greek sculptor Lysippus.
