Interesting fact

The Agathokles Stater coin features a unique combination of two different animal symbols on its obverse and reverse sides. The obverse side depicts a quadriga, a four-horse chariot, while the reverse side features a dolphin. This combination of land and sea creatures may symbolize the connection between the city of Syracuse and the surrounding waters of the Mediterranean Sea.
