Interesting fact
The obverse (front) side of the Kalymna Stater features a unique design element - a crouching lion with its head turned backward, looking toward the reverse side. This unusual lion motif is not found on any other known ancient Greek coins, making the Kalymna Stater a distinctive and fascinating piece of numismatic history.
