Interesting fact

The Kyme Stater was one of the first coins to feature an image of a deity. The obverse side of the coin depicts a bearded Apollo, while the reverse side features a lion's head and the Greek letters "KY" (for Kyme). This coin was minted during a time when coins were still a relatively new invention, and the use of deities and other symbols on coins was not yet widespread. The inclusion of Apollo on the Kyme Stater reflects the importance of religion and mythology in ancient Greek culture.
