Interesting fact
One interesting fact about this coin is that it features an early depiction of a mythical creature, possibly a Griffin, on its obverse side. This coin was minted during a time when the use of electrum, a naturally occurring alloy of gold and silver, was still a novelty in coinage, and its production required a high level of metallurgical skill.
