Interesting fact

The Lycian League Stater coin was minted during a time of great cultural and economic significance for the Lycian civilization. The coin features an image of a lion on one side and an inscription on the other, which reads "ΛYKIΩN" (Lykios) in ancient Greek. This coin was used as a standard unit of currency throughout the Lycian League, a confederation of cities in ancient Anatolia (modern-day Turkey). The fact that it was made of silver and weighed 9.04 grams suggests that it was a valuable and widely-used coin in its time.
